Art feeds believes all children are artists.

They exist to feed creative development and facilitate emotional expression in children through art and community. To do this, they provide free therapeutic art and creative education programs within schools and children’s organizations by mobilizing teams of community members to bring all forms of art into classrooms.

Art Feeds began in one classroom with one child-

A little boy who wasn’t being fed at home and who was not only lethargic and struggling with academics but also had incredibly low self-esteem. As Meg began doing art lessons with him, he showed tremendous progress through expression;

art was feeding him in a way that was just as essential as food.

The Art Feeds method is a combination of curriculum, environment, and delivery that feeds creative development and facilitates emotional expression in children.

We are community focused and engaged.

Our volunteers and educators are members of the same communities of the students they are painting, drawing and dancing with weekly. Through ongoing relationships we build strong, vibrant communities invested in their children and their future.

Art Feeds trains schools and children's organization's teachers and staff in the Art Feeds method and provides additional training by a mental health professional to create a space where students feel free and safe to express themselves. The Art Feeds Method is designed to facilitate emotional expression and invest deeply in each child. The international program is currently running in Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Ghana and Haiti and growing all the time.
